"What a thrill it was to be named the Honorary L2L Convention Director for 2014 and to attend the largest gathering of Christians in the Churches of Christ. I was so inspired to see these young people serving the Lord!" James Watkins, pictured with L2L Founder Dr. Jack Zorn

"Lads to Leaders is a great leadership training program for youth, but it is much more. It results in youngsters and their parents working together on spiritual projects. It involves many adult members in worthwhile, rewarding work. It teaches even very young children to get on their feet before audiences. It challenges and encourages them in service to others, in the study and memorization of Scripture and in the timely and accurate recording of accomplishments. It enables young women to learn to lead public worship within the parameters set in Scripture. The skills participants develop as they grow include the public reading of Scripture, song leading and delivering biblical messages. In a time when many churches are decrying the loss of their young people to the world, research shows that an astonishing 85 percent of L2L participants remain faithful to adulthood, the result of engaging in meaningful work, learning and public worship leadership. At the University Church in Montgomery, Ala., now there are young adults growing in Christian maturity and accepting leadership responsibilities, including some deacons, who came up through the L2L program. I believe in and endorse Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes." Cecil May Jr, Dean Emeritus, Faulkner University

“Wherever I travel I like to tell churches about the wonderful programs of Lads to Leaders and how they make such a difference in the lives of the children they serve. For many years I have seen the benefits of Lads to Leaders to those who participate, having served both as a coach and as a judge. I was delighted when I heard that my own grandchildren would participate in the program. I heartily recommend Lads to Leaders to any congregation that wants to spiritually train their children.” Phil Sanders, In Search of the Lord's Way

“We live in a time when the church of Christ is in need of sound doctrine programs that will develop the whole family and congregations as a whole. I am thoroughly impressed and convinced that L2L is a blessing from God and very much needed in the churches of Christ today. -Tommy Brooks, Highland Heights Church of Christ, Houston, TX

“Leaders do not just happen; they are developed—and the sooner the process starts, the better. Where will these people, these leaders come from? Will they just appear someday? The church must deal with these questions and provide a solution.” John Simmons, MD, Elder at West 7th Street Church of Christ, Columbia, Tenn.

“L2L provides a sound, structured and challenging framework for helping young people grow in Bible knowledge, godly virtue and Christian service. The materials are written by faithful Christians and programs can be used selectively as individual families and congregations see fit. We have used the books and goals while homeschooling, during family devotional times, as part of the church’s Bible school program, for year-round engagement in the activities of the local church, and while participating in the L2L annual convention. The kids are excited, and we are encouraged by their spiritual development. What more can Christian parents ask for?” -Melvin Otey, Professor, Jones School of Law at Faulkner University, and Gospel preacher
